This E-2000/PC connector offers a spring-loaded shutter mechanism that protects the ferrule end-face from scratches and dust while blocking out potentially eye-damaging laser radiation. The "PC" stands for "physical contact" because these connectors allow the surfaces of two connected fibers to be in direct contact with each other, which helps to properly align the cores of each terminated fiber end and minimize back reflections. The connector is for single mode fiber and is compatible with our ADAE1 E-2000/PC mating sleeve. Packaged with a strain relief boot for Ø3.0 mm tubing, this connector has a Ø2.5 mm spring-loaded, pre-radiused, ceramic ferrule and a typical insertion loss of 0.20 dB.
