- Available in 12", 24", 36", 48", or 72" Lengths
- 50 Ω Impedance
- DC - 3 GHz Frequency Range
- 1000 V (RMS) Dielectric Withstanding Voltage
- RG-178 Tubing with 0.40" (10.2 mm) Minimum Bend Radius
- Ø0.07" (Ø1.8 mm) Cable Diameter
These cables have a right-angle, SMB female connector on one end and a straight, BNC male connector on the other. These SMB cables can be used with our line of Polaris® mirror mounts with piezoelectric adjusters, which can be driven via these cables by our open-loop piezo controllers. The connectors are made of nickel-plated brass. The RG-178 coaxial cable is flexible enough to reach a minimum bend radius of 0.40", and the 90° SMB connector allows the cable to be connected in tight areas without putting lateral force on the connection, making this cable ideal for use in space-constrained setups.

The PAA101 (1.5 m long) and PAA100 (3 m long) drive cables are the standard SMC-terminated cables used to drive all Thorlabs 75 V piezoelectric actuators and nanopositioning stages with internal piezoelectric actuators. These cables can be used with the NanoFlex series stages, the NanoMax300 series stages, the NanoMax600 series stages, and individual piezoelectric actuators that use SMC connectors.
- Designed for Closed-Loop Piezoelectric Operation
- Send Position Feedback from Piezoelectric Actuator to Strain Gauge Reader
- Included with All Piezo Stages and Actuators with Feedback Loop
The PAA622 is used with Thorlabs' 75 V piezoelectric actuators and nanopositioning stages with internal piezoelectric actuators that are fitted with the strain gauge position sensors. This cable sends position feedback information from the strain gauge sensor in the piezo actuator to a strain gauge reader; a separate cable is required to drive the piezo actuator. The cable is 3 m long and has a 9-pin male D-type connector that connects to the APT controller and a 7-pin LEMO connector that connects to the sensor output on the stage or actuator. For multi-axis stages, a separate feedback cable is required to operate each actuator in a closed feedback loop.
This cable can be used with the NanoFlex series stages, the NanoMax300 series stages, the NanoMax600 series stages, and individual piezoelectric actuators. The PAA622 is included with the shipment of all piezo stages and actuators with a feedback loop, as well as our strain gauge and force sensors.
- Adapts D-Type Connector on PD2(/M) or PD3(/M) Piezo Inertia Stage to KIM001 or KIM101 Controller SMC Output
- Designed for Open-Loop Piezoelectric Operation
- 50 Ω Impedance
- RG174/U Coaxial Cable
The PD2AD piezo drive cable is required to drive the PD2(/M) 5 mm or PD3(/M) 50 mm linear piezo inertia stages using the KIM001 or KIM101 K-Cube controllers.
Before using the KIM001 or KIM101 controllers to drive these stages, the configuration of the
controllers must be set correctly, since they are configured by default to drive our piezo inertia actuators. Using the joystick and menu button, select the "Set stage" option and change it from "PIA" to "PD(R)", then restart the controller. The display will show "Stage is PD(R)" and the controller will be configured to drive a PD2(/M) or PD3/(M) stage. Alternatively, the Kinesis software with version 1.14.18 or higher can also be used to select the PD(R) configuration.
Note that the D-Sub connector's Pin 12 (PGND, Power Ground) is connected to the outer shield of the SMC connector, while Pin 13 (SigOut1, Piezo Output 1) is connected to the SMC core wire.

- 1 m Long D-Sub to SMC Adapter Cable
- Connects the PDXC2 Controller's D-sub port to the PD1(/M), PD1V(/M), PD1D(/M), or PDR1C(/M) Stage's SMC Connection
The PDXC2AD adapter cable has a female 15 pin D-sub connection and a male SMC connection. The cable adapts the PDXC2 controller's male 15-pin D-sub port to the SMC termination of the PD1(/M), PD1D(/M), PD1V(/M) 20 mm stages, or PDR1C(/M).

- 3000.00 mm (118.11") of Extra Length
The PDXCE extension cable can connect the PD2(/M) 5 mm, PDX2(/M) 5 mm, PDX1(/M) 20 mm, PD3(/M) 50 mm linear piezo inertia stages or the PDXR1(/M) rotation stage to the PDXC or PDXC2 Inertia Stage Controller. The cable provides 3000 mm (118.11") or extra length to make the setup easier to organize.
